Thailand’S Warm Welcome: Visa-Free Travel For Tourists From India For 6 Months

Indians can visit Thailand visa-free from November 10 to May 10, 2024.

Thailand has scrapped visa requirements for Indian travelers and the move would lead to a massive uptick for an already popular destination, Indian travel bodies and travel service providers said.

As per news reports, prime minister Srettha Thavisin announced on Tuesday that Thailand will offer visa free entry to Indian and Taiwanese tourists. Tourists from India and Taiwan will be allowed to stay for upto 30 days under the six-month trial which will start next month. Indians can visit Thailand without a visa from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024, according to Thai Tourism, and stay there for upto 30 days. The country has now waived visa requirement for citizens of Indian and Taiwan in a bid to get more tourists from here. This September it had done so for Chinese nationals.

Sri Lanka recently announced visa-free entry for visitors from seven countries, including India, China, and Russia, as part of a pilot project upto March 31, 2024.
