Petronas Twin Towers – Kl Tower : Must-See Icon In Kuala Lumpur

Standing at a towering height of 452 metres tall, the Petronas Twin Towers were once the tallest buildings in the world, and remains the world’s tallest twin structures till today. The 88-storey twin skyscrapers are undoubtedly the most iconic landmarks of Kuala Lumpur and of Malaysia, alongside the equally majestic KL Tower. Impressive by day and dazzling at night, the Petronas Twin Towers is a sight you cannot miss when travelling to KL – you can even head to the Observation Deck on the 86th floor or the double-decker Sky Bridge that connects both towers for breathtaking views of the city beneath your feet. Sky Bridge

Connecting the twin towers on the 41st and 42nd floors, the Petronas Twin Towers’ double-decker sky bridge is the highest 2-storey bridge in the world. Located 170m above ground, it is open to visitors altough tickets are limited daily and you can only head up via a guided tour that will take around 45 minutes to complete. Visitors can opt for tickets to access just the Sky Bridge, or a combo package that will allow further ascend to the 86th floor observation deck.

Observation Deck

If the views from the Sky Bridge aren’t enough for you, you can head further up via a second elevator ride to the Observation Deck located on Level 86 of the twin towers. Here, visitors get to enjoy close-up views of the tower’s spire, and learn about the tower’s history and architecture via digital displays and a mini exhibition.

Suria KLCC

The Suria KLCC is a popular six-storey shopping mall located at the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers! Filled with retail stores, restaurants, a cinema, an art gallery, a huge bookstore, an aquarium (Aquaria KLCC), and even a science discovery centre (Petrosains), Suria KLCC is one of the most iconic shopping destinations in Malaysia.

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Aquaria KLCC is a world-class oceanarium that’s home to over 5,000 aquatic and land creatures. The aquarium is ranked as one of the top five aquariums in Asia and provides a space for visitors to get up-close and personal to hundreds of brilliantly-coloured fishes, sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, sea turtles, and other exotic sea creatures. It’s perfect for a fun day out with your little ones or even as a romantic date spot!

The mall houses stores of brands including Chanel, Gucci Beauty, Timberland, Nike, Adidas, Machines (Apple Premium Reseller), Kinokuniya, Uniqlo, and more. Besides that, Suria KLCC is also home to the Petronas Philharmonic Hall (Malaysia’s first concert hall that has hosted many of the world’s leading orchestras).

KLCC Park

The KLCC Park is an urban park that spans 17 acres below the Petronas Twin Towers, designed to provide greenary to surroundings of the twin towers! This beautiful park is full of greens as well as equipped with jogging and walking path, a beautiful lake (including an impressive fountain with nightly light shows), a mosque, wading pools, and even a children’s playground. The park is one of the most popular spots to snap photos with the majestic twin towers in the backdrop.

KL Tower

Located close to the Petronas Twin Towers and often compared with each other, the KL Tower is another important icon of Kuala Lumpur. While the KL Tower may look taller than the Petronas Twin Towers from afar, it’s actually an illusion as the KL Tower is built atop a hill!

Observation Deck/Sky Deck/Sky Box

Due to KL Tower has a strict maximum capacity limit, after purchasing your voucher at Klook, visitors are still required to walk-in to pre-book your available and preferred time slots at KL Tower ticketing counter (first-come, first-serve basis). You’ll never see a better panoramic view of the capital city than from the observation deck of Malaysia’s KL Tower. It’s the 7th tallest free-standing telecommunication tower in the world, so make sure to take pictures from the KL Tower Observation Deck! Choose to get access to the Sky Deck, an outdoor location where you can feel the breeze. If you are a thrill-seeker, face your fears at the Sky Box, a glass box that extends from the Sky Deck at 300 meters high.
