Vietnam Travel Update 2026: Pre-Arrival Declaration & Health Declaration Requirements

Vietnam has introduced a Pre-Arrival Declaration system for travelers arriving through selected international airports. In addition, authorities have announced that from 1 July 2026, all inbound, outbound, and transit travelers will be required to complete a Health Declaration Form as part of updated travel regulations.

Vietnam Pre-Arrival Declaration

Passengers arriving through selected international airports, including Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), and Phu Quoc International Airport, may be required to complete the Vietnam Pre-Arrival Declaration before arrival.

The declaration allows travelers to submit their personal and travel information online before departure, helping to reduce waiting times and simplify arrival procedures.

How to Complete the Pre-Arrival Declaration

Visit the official Vietnam Pre-Arrival Declaration portal.
Upload your passport and enter your personal information.
Provide your contact details and travel information.
Review all details carefully before submission.
Submit the form and save your QR code for arrival procedures in Vietnam.

Travelers are encouraged to complete the declaration before departure for a hassle-free arrival experience.

Upcoming Health Declaration Requirement

Starting 1 July 2026, all travelers entering, leaving, or transiting through Vietnam will also be required to complete a Health Declaration Form.
This requirement applies to:

Inbound travelers
Outbound travelers
Transit passengers
